Competition period: 5 October 2026 at 9:00am NZST to 26 October 2026 at 11:59pm NZST.
About the competition
Science Alive has teamed up with Genesis School Gen, and is giving New Zealand Primary and Intermediate schools families the chance to win science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) resources, including books, games, science kits and educational equipment.
There are six prizes with a combined value of $10,000.
Who can enter
The competition is open to New Zealand residents only.
Anyone can enter the competition and nominate a New Zealand primary or intermediate school to support. One entry per email address.
For a school to be eligible, the nominated school must be a registered New Zealand primary or intermediate school at the time the prize is awarded.
How to enter
To enter participants must complete the official Science Alive competition entry form during the competition period 5th October 2026 – 25th October 2026
Entrants must provide:
- Their full name
- A valid email address
- Their nominated school (New Zealand primary and intermediate only)
Only one entry is permitted per email address. Multiple entries submitted using the same email address will not result in additional chances to win.
The competition may be promoted through Science Alive's social media channels, newsletter, website, partner communications and other promotional channels.
Entrants may be encouraged to share the competition with their school, whānau or wider community. Where additional opportunities to be represented in the prize draw are available through sharing or other promotional activity, these will be clearly outlined in the relevant competition promotional material.
By submitting the entry form, entrants confirm that the information provided is accurate and that they meet the eligibility requirements.
Where an entrant chooses to subscribe to Science Alive's newsletter or other marketing communications, this will be treated as a separate marketing consent from their competition entry. Entrants can enter the competition without subscribing to marketing communications.
The competition closes at 11:59pm NZST on 25 October 2026. Entries must be received before this time to be eligible.
